Dr. Bonham is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native who spent much of his childhood involved in sports, primarily wrestling. When he was struck with an injury his junior year of high school requiring surgery, it was a chiropractor that was not only able to provide the necessary rehabilitation, but was also able to provide comfort and an increased quality of life during that time. Admittedly, Dr. Bonham has had many career dreams, but states that chiropractic always had a way of coming back into his life. After attending Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science, he decided to pursue a chiropractic education at Logan University in St. Louis, MO. While attending Logan, Dr. Bonham took extra seminars and classes in several adjusting techniques, as well as pediatric and pregnancy care, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Kairos Training Culture, and Functional Medicine seminars through Apex Energetics.
As a student, he helped facilitate other students to learn chiropractic adjusting skills, philosophy, and sustainable movement to better prepare them for their future in the profession. He was the first student in the international organization of the Kairos Training Culture to be awarded a badge of mastery for his commitment and service to his group at Logan. In 2016 he graduated with Summa Cum Laude, the highest honors, and moved to Raleigh with his wife Michelle, dog Sadie, and cat Gizmo. He brings with him Certifications in Webster Technique, a technique practiced on pregnant mothers, SFMA, a movement screen that is especially effective with athletes and active people, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. He has attended seminars in blood chemistry analysis, thyroid function, and brain chemistry.
In his free time, Dr. Bonham enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife, taking his dog Sadie to the park, and watch the Pittsburgh Penguins play hockey. Dr. Bonham is committed to serving his patients and his community with the most up-to-date information in the health industry and believes that all people should be free to live at their greatest potential, regardless of their age or circumstances.
